4th Annual Fine Art Festival
The Charlotte Convention Center is hosting a display of fine and award winning Art. You will see many different styles and media such as sculptures, photography, glass work, wood work, fiber, clay, and paintings. It will be open December 9th from 10am-7pm and December 9th and 10th from 10am to 5pm. Only $10 for 3day pass and children under 12 get in free! Follow the link for more INFO.
Queen City Christmas Party in NoDa
Come out for a Christmas party at The Neighborhood Theatre in NoDa for Blues, Southern Rock and Soul music from Jim Quick! December 10th this 21 and up show will also have a silent auction, food from Spice South Indian Cuisine and plenty of new people to meet. Tickets are $10 advanced.
NC Dance Theatre The Nutcracker
A family tradition for the holidays, The Nutcracker, is coming to the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center: Belk Theater in Charlotte December 8th. You will experience performances from the Sugar Plum Fairy, the evil Mouse King, Clara and her nutcracker who comes to life and many more characters in this all ages Ballet. The Singing Christmas Tree
A Charlotte Favorite, The Singing Christmas Tree is taking the stage December 11th at Ovens Auditorium. The magic happens on a 32ft tree on stage with over 80 members singing all your favorite holiday songs and starts at 3pm. This is an all ages show and TICKETS are on sale now so call 704-374-1564.
UFS Jingle Bell Bash 2011
This event will help charities such as the UFS, United Family Services battered women’s shelter and united family services so come give to a good cause this holiday! Get dressed up for the night and enjoy heavy hors d’oeuves, live entertainment, one hour of an open bar and a silent auction. OMB’s 2nd Annual German-style Christmas Market
The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is hosting their 2nd annual German Christmas Market (Weihnactsmarkt) which is a German holiday tradition in the weeks leading up to Christmas! December 8th to the 10th from 4p-9p the Marketplace will have all the holiday goodies from crafts to baked goods and Christmas lights for a quant German feel!
