Charlotte Bobcats | Projected Improvement For 2013-2014

October 1st, 2013 Listed Under: Everything Else

Charlotte, NC

Kemba Walker

The Charlotte Bobcats’ first preseason game is rapidly approaching on Oct. 8 with the new coach Steve Clifford. The team will be undergoing a makeover back to the beloved “Hornets” name next year, sparking interest in their performance for the 2013-2014 season.

Hopeful Roster

The Bobcats drafted Cody Zeller last spring, who has shown great promise in summer camp in Las Vegas. Zeller will be joining the roster with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Bismack Biyombo. Both Biyombo and Kidd-Gilchrist have a lot of youth and upside working in their favor.

The veteran Kemba Walker is one of the best up and coming point guards in the NBA and is a great asset to building this team. The high-profile AJ Jefferson also signed with the Bobcats after being a free agent. Jefferson should create a huge impact offensively.

Hornets on the Horizon

This will be the last season we see the Charlotte Bobcats and will simultaneously be a look into the Charlotte Hornets’ future. With the Bobcats projected to improve this season, the team may suffer a loss in the draft pick they receive.  However, the Bobcats have a promising future considering the newly excited fan base, promising youth and new talent joining the team. Ultimately, say goodbye to the navy and orange after this season and get ready to bring back the buzz!
