Q. Is this good at any builder? A: Virtually any- Take one of our Agents, and we’ll make sure.  It is best to go in with us- we know the questions to ask, how to uncover the best deals, but if you are on your own, state you are represent by the McDonald Team at Wilkinson and Associates. They should call Terry McDonald at 704-393-0048 if they need verification.
Q:What if I already visited the new home center, can the McDonald Team represent me, and I still get the Gift Card? A: This is case by case, but normally the builder wants to accommodate you and your wish for us to represent you. You will need to ask for us, we’ll take it from there. We need to view local re-sales anyway before a purchase, and solds in the neighborhood, in most cases this is not an issue.
Q: Will you be there to present the offer? A: A Broker from the McDonald Team will be there for you all the way, from the offer to closing- loans, inspections, HUD statements etc. This is full Buyer representation.
Q. Does this mean I have to pay more for the house? No, builders charge the same to the public if you have an Agent or not- they just make more money if you don’t. We’ll do price research to determine where they have been selling (not typically list) and work with you to negotiate the very Best price- after that, the Lowe’s Card comes from us.
Q. Can I use the Lowe’s Card in any way for my closing costs? No, it has no cash value.
Q. What is the minimum purchase? The minimum home/condo/townhouse purchase is $80,000- that qualifies you for the full Federal Tax Credit, and the Charlotte $1000 Stimulus.
Q. Are there any other restrictions? The Gift card must appear on your closing statement (HUD) for you to receive the Card. Each HUD has to be lender approved. In some rare cases they may not approve the Gift card, see your rep for details, but we estimate this occurence to be below 1% of the time.
