South Charlotte Homes For Sale: Eastover, Elizabeth, Cottswold, Foxcroft, Freedom Park area,Park Road, Quail Hollow, Carmel Country Club… and more
South Charlotte has the traditional suburbs of Charlotte. They began in 1895 with a electric streetcar service to the new homes in Dilworth. Shortly after, to the east, Myers Park was begun and that’s why the streetscapes here are full of beautiful 100 year oaks. Myers Park was home top Charlott’s elites for most of the 20th century. The farmland to the south became the area we know as Southpark, and the city spread from there, first down Providence Road, then branching out on Rea, Park and Sardis. Roughly speaking, “South Charlotte” is bounded by Park Road on the west and Independence Blvd in the east, extending to Rt 485. Only the newest ring city, Ballantyne sits primarily outside of the Rt 485 loop.

There are still additions and infill going on today. Dilworth is extremely convenient for those who work in the business district of Uptown Charlotte or at one of the two hospitals nearby. Please see the pictures and related links below:
