Movies in The Park – Kung Fu Panda 2  

The always fun Movies in The Park is hosting a showing of Kung Fu Panda 2 in Harrisburg Park (University area, here’s a map) this Friday evening.  The movie starts at sunset & is free to all.

Matthews Alive Labor Day Parade, Sat 10am

The largest Labor Day parade is Charlotte, Matthews Alive is an annual festival of note here in the Queen City.  Come for the parade, stay for the arts & crafts, delicious food & family fun.

Second City – Fri, 7:30pm & Sat, 7:30pm

The Second City comedy troupe is coming to Rock Hill with shows both Friday & Saturday night.  Not familiar with Second City?  They’ve produced the “who’s who” list of funny people for the past 30 years.  Name’s you’d recognize? John Belushi, Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert & many others.  The shows are at the Community Performance Center in Rock Hill & tickets are about $40.

Carolina Fest on Labor Day. Charlotte throws a party for the DNC, all day, Uptown.  James Taylor highlights the afternoon/evening  entertainment.  This will be a good time, our city knows how to throw a party!
