Things to Do in Charlotte This Weekend
48th Festival in the Park, 4pm – 9pm Friday, 10am – 9:30pm Sat, 11am – 6pm Sun
The 48th Festival in the Park is being held this weekend at Freedom Park & is slated to draw more than 100k attendees. Live entertainment is available for the whole family with five stages. Over 185 artists from around the country will participate over the next 3 days. You can expect fair food, a Family Fun Zone with an old school arcade and other fair type attractions/rides. Attendance is free, however no pets or alcohol are allowed.
Food Lion AutoFair, Fri & Sat 8am – 6pm, Sun 8am – 4pm
The Food Lion Autofair is being held this weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Tickets are $10 or $25 for all weekend. Kids 12 and under are free. Attractions at this year’s autofair includes a tribute to the Shelby Mustang, 3 generations of Batmobiles, Vintage motorcycles and more!
18th Festival of India, Sat 12pm – 6pm, Sun 12pm – 7pm
The Festival of India is being held this weekend at Knight Theater on Tryon St. The festival includes performances outside of the Teather, but the inside part of the festival will cost $5 with kids under 10 attending for free. Indian food, dance, music and art will be on display throughout the weekend. Learn more at the festival website.
