South Boulevard Community
Historic South End is located adjacent to Uptown Charlotte and the neighborhood of Dilworth as you head south out of town on South Blvd. The entire South Blvd area has developed quickly over the past 10 years or so since the launch of the Blue Line.
The Blue Line was the first light rail line in Charlotte, and it has truly transformed that side of town. The Blue Line runs through the center of Uptown Charlotte, all the way out to 485, our beltline. South End is now home to dozens of restaurants, breweries, shops and night life — all connect by the light rail line and large walking/biking trails that follow it!
Many young professionals who work in Uptown or nearby chose to call South End home for its walkability, or “scooter” ability if you live a bit further south.
