There are record temperatures this week, so what is there to do now?
When temperatures get into the 90’s the amount of time you spend exploring the greenways and outdoors tends to be limited. What are some great CLT summer activities?
Discovery Place – There are three locations, all with different focuses. There is the Discovery Place Nature, which is located right next to Freedom Park. Then in Uptown there is the Discovery Place Science. And finally in Huntersville there is the Discovery Place Kids. All of these are such great spots when the weather isn’t cooperating.
Bowling! Name a better hot or rainy day activity! There isn’t one. Lucky for us 10 Park Lanes is located so conveniently on Montford. At 10 Park Lanes there is fun for all ages – there is even a bar! You can bowl, eat, drink and enjoy the AC! What a win!
SouthPark Mall – Who doesn’t love knocking two things out at once? At the SouthPark mall you’ll knock your steps out of the park and get your shopping done. Great for a hot or rainy day.
And finally, some of the obvious – EAT and DRINK!!! Even though the Breweries have awesome outdoor spaces, they have even better indoor spaces. Brewery hop, and in between check out some of the new restaurants. Try South End – Hawkers, Superica, Barcelona Wine Bar. Don’t forget to stop into Jeni’s for ice cream! Or what about uptown? Haymaker, La Belle Helene or an awesome classic – 5 Church!
