Who doesn’t love to shop?!
There are so many great shops, all catering to different specialities. I try to shop local whenever possible, so here are some of my favorites in our area!
The BEST Baby Store – Shower Me With Love, located right next to Whole Foods in South Park.
Our recent obsession are the JellyCat touch and feel books, and lucky for us Shower Me With Love carries them. We frequently go to get another to add to the collection. They have everything from cribs, strollers, clothing to all little fun gift and small specialty items too.
The best gift/paper store around, conveniently located on East Blvd in Dilworth – Paper Skyscraper!
“Paper Skyscraper is a local, independent gift shop with a wide variety of hand-picked books, stationary, cards, and gifts that are sure to delight.” I love going in here and wondering around – sometimes even when there isn’t anything I need! Somehow you’ll always find something you need here though!
I love to pop over to the Park Rd Shopping Center and go into all the local boutiques there as well. They have K-LA which always has cute women’s clothing. You can’t go wrong stopping into J.Crew Mercantile too! And lastly, I always have to stop in Blackhawk! I’ve never left this store empty handed. At Blackhawk “you can find any hardware and garden essentials as well as boatloads of niche odds and ends for your home and garden.”
I am SO excited for Optimus Hall to open, hopefully this year! It is planned to be a collaboration of retail, food, restaurants and even some corporate offices! It will be a great spot to go walk around, grab some awesome food – and do a little shopping!
