Close-in Charlotte for Under $250k?  Look no further than these hot neighborhoods between Park Rd and South Blvd.

Looking for a place to call home that’s close into town but won’t brake the bank?  Look no further than charlotte Lynx light railthese hot South End and South Blvd neighborhoods:

  1. Sedgefield
  2. Madison Park
  3. Collins Park
  4. Montclaire
  5. Starmount

Sedgefield

Sedgefield is the closest into town on this list and also the most expensive.  Property in this subdivision for under $200k will need significant work or perhaps even a full rebuild.  Sedgefield made Redfin’s national top 10 appreciation list this year:

Madison Park

The next neighborhood, heading away from town on South Blvd, is Madison Park.  Madison Park is a sprawling neighborhood with many different sections.  Most of the homes in Madison Park were built in the 1950s and 60s.  Most, but not all, have been updated or remodeled over the years:

Collins Park

Collins Park is a smaller neighborhood located immediately south of Madison Park:

Montclaire

Continuing down South Blvd we run into Montclaire. Montclaire runs roughly between Park Rd and South Blvd, between Tyvola and up to Archadale:

Starmount

South of Archdale we run into the large and sprawling subdivision of Starmount.  Full of rolling hills, some of the best deals in south Charlotte can be found in this up and coming neighborhood.

A resident in Collins Park, I blog mostly about the South Blvd neighborhoods and things to do in Charlotte. While I wasn't born here, I did grow up here so Charlotte is home. I'm also a partner at The McDonald Group at eXp Realty. I help clients across the greater Charlotte area but focus mostly on south Charlotte and neighborhoods near Uptown.
