Charlotte Farmers market- fresh tomatos

So you’d like to know where your food comes from?  Talk to the farmers who grew them- North Carolina and South Carolina growers come together under two barn like structures to sell, just about everything grownin the area, from watermelons to bok choy,  cilantra ($1.00) per large bundle to fresh zucchinni, cucumbers and corn.

So how much would this amount of produce cost at Harris Teeter?

One full bag fresh vegetabels- $16.00

3 large tomatoes, 2 yellow squash, 2 zucchini, 1 avocado, 2 pints blueberries,  4 ears of corn, 1 baby bok choy, 1 bundle cilantro, 1 celery, 1   cantaloupe  one heavy bag  $16.61.  Who says fresh has to cost more?

You can try their fresh jams, honey and nuts. OR, grass fed chicken and beef- imagine no human growth hormones or antibiotics.

I know it will in the offseason, but here eliminate the middleman, and come have fun a the Charlotte Regional Farmers market.

So how much is organic? We’ll investigate next time.

See you at the market!

Charlotte quickly became home to us and I wanted to create a website that would help individuals and families considering a move to Charlotte.
